I have recently become aware of your web site and find it to be among the best in terms of content, presentation and even entertainment. You're to be commended for making such a wealth of information and experience so readily and universally accessible. - Wes N

Last spring I was fishing by the oil platform that is on one of the cuts from the main channel leaving from the Brown and Root flats. I had been there before dark and was fishing the outlet just beyond the oil platform near the fence post that sticks out of the water. I had my limit of reds but was trying to catch another 27" trout like the one I had caught the last time I fished there. Just beyond the edge of the oyster reef I had been watching a small school of reds smacking some bait. Well, along comes Lefty Ray and his clients. I watched you skillfully paddle your Yak and point out the reds to your client. He casted right in amongst them but set the hook too soon and came up empty. You just shook your head and raised your shoulders but you couldn't see the smile on your client's face and excitement in his eyes because he was facing me. You should know that right then and there I thought of my father who was a game warden and later a fishing guide in Louisiana and I wondered just how many great moments you and my father generated for the many clients you have served throughout your career! - James

First, let me sat that there is no guide better organized on the Texas coast than Lefty! He had it down to a science and we launched effortlessly and well prepared. I have fished the Texas Coast feverishly for the last five years and have taken many guided trips, but I have to say that this was the most fun and the best VALUE of guided trips that I have experienced. My cousin and I surely enjoyed the change of pace that kayak fishing offered. We were spotting tails from a horizontal level, right off the bat. We had a great day and I liken the experience to quail hunting. We were busting schools of redfish, pulling out a fish or two, and then hunting them down as they regrouped a few yards away. It was a really great experience and unlike the South Texas Quail hunts no one got shot! We had a really great time and recommend the trip without regret; Truly a South Texas experience not to be missed. - Mike C.

The seminar was extremely informative. I have been wade fishing those waters for over 25 years. Your seminar has giving me some practical, on the water tactics, that will allow me to use a kayak to get into spots quickly and efficiently and increase my chances for more consistent hook-ups. Along with the kayak tactics, all the practical info on all the different factors such a wind-speed, tides, position of sun, direction of winds, launch spots, and exact preparation steps will make my kayak fishing experiences much more enjoyable. I also feel like you have opened up a whole new fishery, the Brown and Root Flat and the Lighthouse Lake Trails, that I have never considered before.
